Crops, Raks and More

Happy Scrappy Day! On National Scrapbooking Day I went to an awesome crop at The Scrapping Bug ( http://www.thescrappingbug.com/xcart/home.php ) Catherine from Scrapbook and Cards Today ( http://www.scrapbookandcards.com/ ) dropped in and surprised us with awesome make n takes and everyone stopped cropping to have a chit-chat! Some girls had met for the first time but before you knew it we were all bantering back and forth!

I also did some on-line challenges and one of them was : why i scrapbook! the journalling for " People, Places and Things" reads as follows: everyone i have met, everywhere i've been and things that interest me have shaped who i am today. I hope by preserving these moments that i may inspire others to " Find Joy in the Little Things" and enjoy happiness always!

I also have developed a keen interest in Artist trading Cards ( ATC's)! The purple set featured here are for a swap from " fiskateers" and the theme was to create ATC's using the color purple! These 16 are for a swap! each one has variations in them so no 2 are exactly alike!

Now for the topic about Rak's!!! I love Rak's! I've received many over the months ( through swaps, challenges or the generosity of others!) I've been keeping the return address portion and noted " who, what, where and why" i recieved them! I have enough to put in a container and i will be doing random draws from time - to -time!! Today i pulled a random name and i will be sending a small rak to: Frankie!! ( http://makingmemoriesforyou.blogspot.com/ )

Watch my blog for an awesome Father's Day Rak coming up very shortly! I went somewhere last night after cropping and won a draw! ( more will be revealed lol ) It is geared towards the male gender!

wishing everyone a good day!

challenges motivate me!

Scrapadilly is having their "friday night boredom fighters" challenges! the top layout is using black and white pics! the pattern paper is sturdy and too beautiful to trim so i used it in lieu of cardstock! arent the little feet in the bottom right corner the cutest?

The next challenge is a heritage one with the focus on journalling about why the person stands out in my memory! the pics are from 1927! my gramma, grampa and baby dad! lol

Hope everyone is having a happy scrappy day! Take care!

Isn't this ingenious??

When i went to Sandylion Sticker Warehouse i bought so many stickers and when i got them home i had no where to put them!
My binder storage idea was full and i like things where i can see them! There was some binders at work that were being recycled due to their decrepid condition! As soon as i saw the center rings i knew where they could be put to good use and voila!! Sticker storage problem solved! My crop-a-dile was used to create the holes for the screws!
I thought this idea was so great i had to share it!
Thanx for stopping by and have a " happy scrappy" day!

UHU GLUE PEN

A few weeks ago i received a "sample" of a UHU GLUE PEN! The layout pictured here is the first project i used the pen on! The glue flows through the applicater slowly and is able to do a fine line with ease! I was a bit leary to use it on the strips of ribbon but it held satisfactorily! The writing on the pen states that it can be used for embellishments of all types and I have been
doing just that!
Wishing you all a Happy Easter! Thanx for stopping by!
