It's open house time again!!

Here's Scooter checking out my avatar on facebook, she was staring intently at it!
Some gift mugs! They have hot chocolate, chocolate bells, candy cane, chocolate dipped biscotti and a chocolate spoon! I love the tags that say " Naughty, but nice!

This is the kid's display of sweet treats and fun things!

Here is my friends grand-daughter with her gingerbread foamy mini-wreath that she made herself as a " make n take"!

Don't you think these are too good to eat! We had a work-place get together ( dinner, secret santa and a cookie exchange ) These were made by a co-worker .....i think they are awesome!
This is my 5th annual Open House/Craft sale and the preparations kept me hopping for quite a length of time! it was fun to put together and I just love it when friends come over!
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and may it be filled with peace, love and happiness!

Fall

My " Two peas in a pod " ---- Phoebe and Scooter! They're sure lovable!
http://theshakerbox.com/ World Card Making Day! Here are a few cards I did for the occasion! The " Shaker Box " had some wonderful challenges posted on their forum!

I love the look of black and white on its own and also with a dash of red!

Introducing baby-boy Logan!! I became a Great -Grandmother on Sept. 13th! Isn't he the sweetest??!!
Wishing everyone a fantastic fall and thank you for your patience!

Fall: A time for the hustle and bustle of the trees shedding their leaves; birds preparing for their long migration; critters scurrying around foraging for enough food to sustain them over winter!

Randoms

I love the sentiment on this card!
This layout was done using a sketch from Ally's "So Sketchy" http://sosketchy.blogspot.com/2009/07/julys-sketch-contest.html She has an awesome contest happening right now!
A set of ATC'S done for a swap from Fiskars! The theme for this swap is Summer!

Phoebe's baby, Scooter, is nine months old now and mischevious as anything! Mom and baby are like 2 peas in a pod! lol

This post is for the dogs!!

This 2 pg layout was based on a challenge to do a layout based on a book! The book is about a haven for animals where they live out their lives in peace, and the layout suits the book as well! This is my sister's dog Sadie, and is her 3rd rescue dog! My sister rescues "last chance" dogs. Sadie was at the shelter for awhile before she was united with my sister! Sadie has cancer, but sadie has love in her life and is so cherished!
My friend has the cutest poodle ever! We go to a lot of fund-raising events to help the pets at the humane society! The top strip in the layout depicts the fund-raising for the Humane society, while the bottom strip depicts a fund-raiser in the local park! Bailey had won ribbons at this event!
On Sunday May 24th we will be once again going on the "Wiggle-waggle" dog-walk at the Humane society! They have the dog-walk, booths, dog show and silent auction! Even though I dont have a dog I like to get sponsors to do my part in helping the animals!

It's been awhile!

A prize i won from Fiskar's! I took part in an on-line chat featuring The author of " BENT, BOUND & STITCHED! " ( " Josie " Cirincione!) She signed the inside with " Glue is a gir'ls best friend! lol ...... how true! This book has so many innovative and inspiring ideas! I also got some Heidi Grace chipboard add-ons, mmmmmmm M & M's and check out the cute little Fiskars scissors pin!
here is one of many ATC's I did for a swap coming up at SCRAP CENTRAL! I used recycled materials for this one! The floral paper is from an old stationary set and the button is from duvets, what you see is actually the bottom and i chalked it and used my crop-a-dile to punch holes in the leftover paper and added the punched holes to the center of the button! The ribbon came from a gift basket!

Here's my girls ..... Phoebe and Scooter! Scooter has brown eyes, unlike her Mom's green eyes!

I have been so busy getting ready for a yard sale i'm having! half my craft room is going, i cleared 2 closets, priced everything, made goodie bags and packed things in boxes! To look at my rooms it doesnt look like a dent was made, lol! I have managed to get in a wee bit of scrappin"!

I'm so thrilled that Spring has sprung! Waiting for the grass to riz, but i know where the birdies is! lol

These Easter treats are for the people I work with! They are so simple and fast to make!

---Cut heavy pattern paper 2 1/2 X 6

---score at 2 3/4, turn and score opposite end at 2 3/4

---punch hole in center of scored area

---insert sucker stick

---punch 2 holes

---tie with ribbon and embellish!

these can be used for any occasion!

Creation Of The Day!!!!!!

This layout was chosen Creation of the day at Scrapadilly on March 9th! http://scrapadilly.com/scrapadilly_web/Home.html

The challenge was to use reds, oranges and yellows to depict Chaos and i knew right away I had the perfect pics to go with! I think it's such an honour for anyone to have the COTD!

Enough of winter already!!

Something I really enjoy is attending classes crops at the scrapbook store! This layout depicts a bookmark make n take at a crop at The Bug Scrapbooking Store! Catherine and Kerry from SRAPBOOK AND CARDS TODAY showed up to do the make n take! Ally is their new editor and she lent a helping hand to the event!

I am sooooo looking forward to Spring! Everything comes to life with new color and there's the hustle bustle as people are lured by the fresh air of outdoors! Buds appear on the trees, shoots poke through the earth and the insects start buzzing around!

Birds build nests, the grass gets greener and the warm sun feels so good! Spring is by far my most favorite season!

Fantastic February is over at Scrapperie and I completed everything! A proud moment for me because I have many starts and not much finishes! I even managed to assemble an album together!
The above layout was taken from the Scrabooks etc. magazine as a Challenge from Scrapperie! While i was doing the layout I was thinking of Spring! Are you looking forward to Spring as much as I am?

I made this card as a non-traditional Valentines card! ( no hearts, no mushy sentiment ..... just flowers and good thoughts!

I received this stamped image and sentiment as a RAK! It sure makes for a darling Valentine's card!

I realized that in my previous post I never mentioned when i would draw for the RAK! I'll be doing the draw on Valentine's Day so someone will have a special valentines on that day! Comments left on this post will also count towards the draw!

It's been to long!

This is my kitty, Scooter! She finds the funniest ways to rest!
A layout to commemorate a visit with my sister! her friend treated us to a "luncheon" at the country club! POSH!

Some Cosmo cricket cards done for a challenge at Scrap Central!

You have to look with a keen eye to see the transparency here! I used a rub-on on the top side of the transparency and punched an oval to go underneath the sentiment .... the heart button is placed on the topside to "hide" the adhesive.
the inner card was covered with cardstock and pattern paper with a ribbon on the bottom third, then placed a felt floral on the ribbon. i stamped flourishes on the fuscia corners and added the swirly clip to hold the transparency to the inner card!

My poor blog! I've neglected it for over a month and so much has happened! Christmas has come and gone, I welcomed the New Years in a quiet way this year! I havent felt well for a long time and things escalated to the point where I'm now on sick leave from work, but i have had a few good days so I know i'll have myself back again!

My friends at SCRAP CENTRAL ( http://www.scrapcentral.ca/ ) are having some interesting challenges: Scrap Map and also Scrap Challenge a Day and i must say there are some pretty interesting things happening over there! Go see!!!

Scrapfest is approaching soon! i cant wait to go. One of the Exhibitors has recently begun an on-line store and a forum! I had the pleasure of chatting back and forth with her and she had me in stitches! I love a person with a sense of humour! You can find Dianne at The House of Scraps here: http://www.houseofscraps.ca/
My blogaversary has come and gone and while i'm sorting and organizing my scrappy stuff i'm coming across a number of items still in packages which i will be raking off soon so keep coming back!
